    Replication Error

    Hello,
Everything was working fine and all of a sudden I get this replication error:

Job CFWMIS1 Job (ID: f0fb2f40f30b4dcaa38ed06e558a954f) encountered a problem during replication from vm4 to pwvm3. The exact error message was:

bash: /tmp/.vzbin/509ce940-c4c7-41c3-b878-e47efef2b537/01f917f5-c386-4af5-b12f-1d901da9688c.bin: No such file or directory

It appears that the VM  CFWMIS1 was vmotioned prior to this replication.  I am running ESX 3.0.2, VC 2.5, and vReplicator 2.5.0 .  The last time this happened I restarted the vReplicator service but vReplicator is supposed to be vmotion aware.  Is this a bug?  I don't want to restart vReplicator every time a replicated VM is vmotioned.

    Re: Replication Error

vRepl is VMotion aware and if your having issues please open a support case on this. This way we can document the issue and take a look. VMotion can occur before or even during a Replication pass.

    Kent*,

Make sure that you upgrade to the latest version of vReplicator (2.5.1.2). There was a known issue regarding vmotion in the 2.5.0 build that has been resolved in the 2.5.1.2 build of vReplicator.

    Re: Replication Error

    Hello

I have the same problem with vReplicator 2.5.0 Build14 using ESX 3.5 U2 & VC 2.5 U2. I have these 2 ESX servers in a DRS cluster doing a lot of VMotion movements. Suddenly I have the same error with couple of jobs. Restarting vReplicator Service is solving the problem for some days…

    Any solutions?

    Re: Replication Error

Since upgrading to 2.5.1 build 2 I no longer experience the error.
